Serve your Queen

This was an interesting project. I normally don't enjoy drawing fanart of franchise characters because I feel contractually obligated to match the original art style as closely as possible. But this was an exception because It was actually a paid commission! And the commissioner wanted me to draw "what you imagine Midna to look like"

And I did exactly that. I attempted to combine details of Midna's iconic Imp Design and of Midna's true form, redesigned her nightmarish helmet to look like a crown. Throw in some simple painting of the twilight realm, add some blur and there we go!

This was all in all a good change of pace from what i usually draw.
