Peace and Danger

This beast.

This picture took me a while. As i said, i've been wanting to paint a full piece in years, but i've never cracked the code. So, several dozen Painting Tutorials, 2 days later and several hand cramps and pain on a still freshly operated spine (hernias are terrible, watch out for your backs, everyone), I did this piece.

A hybrid, introverted prince has to hide from a ravenous beast with a tribal yet friendly creature. She doesn't seem bothered by the monster; she almost seems used to it. The same can't be said for the wide eyed prince however.

There are A LOT of things I like about this piece. Heck, the very fact that I actually finished it is already insane. There are also plenty of stuff i despise on this (the characters, for example, and the fact that i did a version with chromatic aberration, and scrapped it. Feel free to ask me if you want to see it). But in the end, I think its one of my best pieces yet.
